150 feet main sewer line clean out

The guys that came out were driving a septic clean out system truck. They used a 150 feet of hydro jetter and unclogged a main line in a mobile home park clog main 8 inch pipe.They were here for about 1 hour but they drove 1 hour to get here.

Sounds like you are asking if they charged a reasonable rate - bit late to be asking that, after they already did the job.


For that size sewer main capacity (normal minor street branch size - minimum public sewer line size, so truck probably capable of much larger pipe size too), I would expect around $250-350/hour for the truck with two guys in most areas - maybe extreme range of $200+ to $500/hr for least to most expensive areas. Normal charge is base-to-base (work plus travel both ways), so 2 hours driving plus 1 hour work = $600-1500 extreme range, normal area probably in the $750-1050 range. Maybe about 1/3 less if they had another job nearby next so did not charge you the return trip time.
