Question DetailsAsked on 5/5/2018

Bedroom keep tripping, two ground wires per outlet box, worried they are the problem.

Each box has two ground wires. They are twisted and crimped with a nut and then one is connected to the outlet and the other is left loose in the box. It is still very long, probably about a foot of wire, and bent back into the box. I have read that this extra wire should be cut to about 3/8 to 1/2 inch but wanted some confirmation from a pro. Also, is this something that would cause the circuit to trip? My house is about 1 1/2 years old.
