Can a doctor find out who I am if i submit a negative review?


I want to submit a negative review about a doctor but I don't want the doctor to know who I am. I do not want any further contact with him. Is this site totally anonymous? I do not plan to give details, just warn others about what type of person/doctor he really is. If I can't give my review without you giving my information to whoever it is that I review, I don't want to belong to this site. What is the point? Of course ALL your reviews would be skewed because people would be too afraid to write negative reviews therefore they would only report good experiences-which is what I've encountered so far. I've been a member for less than 24 hrs. and I've only seen "A's" I want to see the negative reviews also. A doctor/contractor could get 20 A's but 3 F's-I want to see those F's. I have gone to too many bad doctors that SEEM great at first then your entire life is ruined by some jerk who doesn't care. How anonymous is this service and why do I never see bad reviews?

There are no anonymous reviews allowed on Angie's List. We believe in keeping everyone accountable and allowing service providers to respond to their reviews in order to give our members the full story.

I can't say for sure why you're not seeing the negative reviews, but there are a number of ways to find them. Most of our members are looking for highly-rated providers to help them successfully complete home, yard, auto, pet, and health care projects, so we make those very prominent.

When you're looking at search results, consider choosing a different way to sort the results:


All reviews on a provider are available.

Check the histogram on any provider's profile to get an at-a-glance idea of the work they've provided:


You can also choose to view reviews from all time, the past three years or the past year, and which grades you'd like to see.

What makes Angie's List such a great service is that they don't allow anonymous reviews. An anonymous review has little or no credibility and are often one of two extremes, a grudge held against a certain business or a glowing review often written by the business themselves. Neither of these extremes offer other consumers anything of value. It is also very difficult for a business to respond to an anonymous review, because it can sometimes be very difficult to decipher what issue the reviewer is talking about or when it happened. If you are going to write a review whether it be good or bad, have the integrity to stand behind your words and accept any consequences for your actions.
