Clearing a clog in the washing machine drain

How can I clear a clog in the drain from my washing machine?  I have tried a 'snake' but  I can't get it around the bend.

Don't bother trying to unclog yourself. The reason you couldn't snake it is because you can't get one long enough. I hated it too, but finally just got a plumber. Their snakes are really really long and are run on a motor feed. They have cameras view the clog and to make sure it is clean. They will come out and give you a free estimate that way you can shop around. Get one that is certified and guarantees their work. Make sure about how long are their snakes and if it is motor driven. (if they don't it will take longer and that means more money) Experienced this already! Hope this is of some help.
