Direct Buy - Englewood - HORRIBLE!!!!!!!

DON'T JOIN DIRECT BUY IN ENGLEWOOD, CO!! Husband and I visited and liked the 'sales pitch' so decided to sign up since we were trying to buy a house and could see the potential for needing lots of home items at manufacturer's pricing. Salesperson told us 'no problem' to split the near $600 deposit into 2 payments, they'd not run our credit until we closed, and if anything changed before the 2nd payment went through (ie: not closing on a house) to call. We called and we were always put into voicemail for the showroom manger. Messages were left saying we wanted to cancel because we were not buying a house. No return calls were made. Email received welcoming us. Calls made again - directed to voice mail. We have worked with the company's corporate office, we insisted on speaking with the showroom manager instead of leaving more voice mails, and we've now filed complaints with the Denver BBB and with Tom Martino. They absolutely refuse to acknowledge any calls were received or that we were given the option to cancel before the 2nd portion of the deposit was made. In total we will be out nearly $6000 for a membership with a company that we do not want to do business with.

I had thought about going to one of presentations but looked them up on line and found out what the membership fee was and knew I could not afford it. I also found MANY Posts like yours warning people not to join. I Hope you get your money back. Did you give them a credit card number, if so why not cancel the card and get another one. I had a problem once with a gutter company East Carolina Gutters" and the Attorney Generals office "consumer Protection" helped me get the money back. Give them a call they will help you, for FREE.
