Question DetailsAsked on 5/11/2012

Do we need bathtub reglazing or covering?

We have a steel bathtub but the enamel finish has been scrubbed off. We do not want to replace the steel tub with a plastic tub; therefore we are considering having the tub reglazed or a covering placed over it.
Would appreciate any feedback on which way to go.

DEFINITELY HAVE IT REFINISHED! There is no need to deal with the mess and the chaos for days on end of tearing out plumbing, ripping up floors, and damaging walls to replace perfectly good bathtubs, sinks, bathroom wall tile and countertops, or even kitchen countertops just because you want to update the color scheme or because they have become stained, scratched, cracked, or otherwise damaged.

You can update the entire look of your bathroom or kitchen just by having the items in them refinished so that they coordinate with your new d├ęcor - in a fraction of the time it would take to replace these items ... and at a fraction of the cost of replacing these perfectly good items that are probably still in good working order. THAT'S why refinishing is THE time- and money-saving decorating alternative.
