Filling in the blank might get you a more focused response.

Few places I'd suggest you look:

You are an Angie's List member...if your database of automobile mechanics doesn't yield someone who works on hybrids with ratings you might call one of Angie's specialists to get them to help find a source in your areaVisit your dealership. Honestly, many of them are charging prices that compare with the independant garages in the area so they can try to get some of the work back. Don't know if that holds true in the Toyota arena but I've found it true on others in central IndianaTry some of the POGs (Prius Owners Groups) on the iternet. A few to get you started are www.priusownersgroup.com , www.chicagopriusgroup.com , and www.priuschat.com . You should find others in similar circumstances who have good referrals.

AND, don't forget

The first two things are personal goals of mine. The third is something I will certainly try. Lack of oil could explain quite a few things that have been wrong with me lately. . . . .

Odd that a Prius would be out of warranty so quickly when they've only been mfg'd/marketed a few years (3???) . Toyota's warranty on the Prius engine, battery and drive train far exceeds competitors.

Prius is now entering its 7 year of production. They were sold in the US begining in 2001. Not uncommom for them to be out of warranty if you drive the car alot like I do. I have 75K on my Prius currently in less than 2 years of ownership.

WOW! [:$] thanks for correction. Also good to see so many Angie's members like their hybrids. I'm still weighing which model best suits my life>
