GE and Honeywell have a similar product offering with some slight differences that are not relevant to a home or business owner with a few exceptions. The GE NX8 offers the same number of zones as a Honeywell 20P in combinations of wired and wireless devices. Two significant differences set the GE panel apart from the Honeywell panel. The GE system can employ many wireless receivers for better wireless covereage where the Honeywell can only offer one receiver and the GE panel can be partitioned into as many as 8 partitions while the Honeywell can only have two partitions. Honeywell has a more broad product offering with several different panel sizes as well as a commercial combination intrusion detection and fire alarm panel, which GE does not offer at this time.

Regarding bells and whistles, they both offer enhanced services with remote access and home automation integration. GE is partnered with a company known as Alarm.com and Honeywell has its own branded service knows as Total Connect. They both have their strengths and weaknesses but overall Honeywell's offering appears to be a bit more robust and less money.
