Green landscaping

Is there such a thing as a 'green' lawn or landscape service that avoids health-endangering chemicals?

Sure. Here's a Chicago company that does just that and has straight A's on Angie's List: Agrilawn Environmental Services Corp, (847-231-6122). Don't forget to submit a report on your experience!

Because of the "green movement" a lot of companies are offering "organic solutions". I know TruGreen just added TruNatural to their services, they are a national chain.

Because of competition and a cry for greener alternatives you should be able to easily find a service.

And if you have a company you like, simply ask them to provide an alternative to the checmicals. The more their customers ask the quicker they will move to a greener fertilizing schedule if they are not already on one.

If you like your current lawn service get a separate organic service to handle your fertilizing needs. It's commonly done and you get to keep the company you love and stay away from chemicals.
