Question DetailsAsked on 6/25/2017

HOW TO DO I GET MY REFUND FOR THE CHARGE YOU JUST MADE TO MY CREDIT CARD WHEN I CANCELLED MY SUB. 2 MONTHS AGO?

I WAS A MEMBER AND CANCELLED OUT 2 MONTHS AGO AND JUST GOT CHARGED $9.99 ON 6/2/17. CANNOT REACH A BODY AT YOUR PLACE TO TALK TO. NOT HAPPY AND EXPECT THE $9.99 TO BE REFUNDED TO MY CREDIT CARD IMMEDIATELY. WILL BE SENDING A LETTER TO FOLLOW UP ON THIS CHARGE AND NOTIFYING BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AS WELL REGARDING TRYING TO CONTACT YOUR COMPANY TO RESOLVE A BILLING ERROR. RIDICULOUS.

Based on previous complaints here and on other web complaint blogs, this appears to be the primary complaint by members about Angies List - not a vaery impressive performance by a company that makes its money taking reviews and complaints about other companies !

Contact them at the contact info they provided - but based on the number of similar complaints on this site repeatedly complaining about AL membership credit card charges going on for years after membership cancellation, if they do not credit your money to your account within a couple of days at most, I would contact the credit card company (with copies of your cancellation eMail and their reply to you here saying they do not find you having an active membership) and contest the charge on the basis of it being an unauthorized charge (enough of which complaints get a company's credit card usage privileges cancelled by the card companies) - the credit card company has to immediately then credit you back the charge and the company has to justify it (which obviously based on their eMail reply they cannot do).

I would also make the contact to AL by eMail, not phone (so there is a printed record of it), and not only demanding the refund for the charge, but also demanding they remove your credit card information from their system to prevent this happening again next year.
