Question DetailsAsked on 4/9/2013

Has anyone out there had 3/4" hardwood floors installed over concrete with the "Elastilon" product?

The flooring will be 3/4" x 3 1/4" solid maple hardwood, not engineered. To be placed on grade concrete. Want to know if others have had this done and if so, have they had any problems.

Hi, I have a great experience with Elastilon. I installed 3/4" hardwoods in my basement directly over concrete, and later on, installed Bamboo (which is the hardest floor ever to install), in my entire first floor. It was about 2 years ago and my floors look great - no gapping and no cupping, my basement is beautiful!! I followed the instructions - they have lots of tips which help a lot. It is very simple and easy - I recommend you view their youtube video - it is very helpful. I remember needing some help during the installation. I called the company and they helped me out right away. Most recommended!

Thanks for asking an interesting question. I would like to have hardwood floors installed over concrete, so I looked for reviews of Elastilon. Here's a sample of what I found:
