If you aren't able to find a local broker you are content with, look online for brokers licensed in North Carolina that work with all of the carriers in your area.

Note that if you expect to be eligible for the subsidies under Obamacare, you HAVE to purchase the plan through the approved website for your state (some have their own, 20 some use a Federal run website) - but to sign up there you have to be in an eligibility window to enrool and you just missed the annual end-of-year open season, so can't sign up till next November unless you have lost your job, had your insurance cancelled, gotten married or divorced, had a kid, or several other exemptions that open up a specific enrollment period to you.
