How much should 200 linear feat of vinyl privacy fencing cost?

Want an old wooden fence removed and replaced with six foot vinyl privacy fence. Do not want to go with a low grade fence, but do not have to have the highest grade either.

Depends a lot on the quality and fanciness of the fencing - can range from as low as $6/LF to $20/LF or more for fencing the materials cost alone, plus $1-4/LF for hole filling material (crushed rock or concrete). Check out online or at a building materials store to decide what and material grade you want.

Removal of old wood fence could range from about $0.50-1/LF for a split-rail or paddock type to maybe $2-3/LF for full-coverage wood fence, depending on trash disposal costs in your area. This assumes cutting off existing wood posts at ground level, NOT digging them out. Of course, if you use your fireplace a lot, you could remove all the untreated wood and use it for firewood, or if cut into fireplace lengths, maybe a neighbor would haul it off for you.

New vinyl fence installation typically about $5-7/LF, though some fence companies install for as little as $3/LF for that size job on easy access ground. Additional if have to brush the fenceline or cut trees or a lot of roots for clearance, and lots more if bedrock is encountered in the post holes. Depends on company efficiency and equipment, soil type, slope steepness, depth of holes, and how close to the holes they can get with truck and cement mixer.
