How do I use my Silver King Vacuum as a Carpet Shampooer? I have had my unit for at least 10 years and I love it

I think Silver King went out of Business. I would like to know how to use my Silver King Vacuum as a Carpet Shampooer. Would anyone be able to help me?

Don't know that it can - some canister vacuums like some at Sears have a carpet cleaning attachment (which do not work real well), but with the specialty attachment and the instructions for it you could not use your vac to shampoo a carpet.

My advice - rent a Rug Doctor for about $20-25/day at your local grocery store or such when you need it - plus about $10 up front for a bottle of the shampoo detergent (which will last for many rentals). FARRR more powerful and effective than an attachment on a canister vac - and if you need to do stairs or other off-the-floor areas rent the attachment wand too - it is way too heavy to be practical to lift it up to do carpeted steps.
