I sold my stucco house contingent on the inspection. Buyer did moisture intrusion test with co. she selected.Found two areas of deterioration. How do I as the seller evaluate validity of test, accuracy? Should they have submitted a sample of mold for testing? I had a test done 6 years ago and thought I had done what I needed to do to fix problem. Inspector says I have stopped water coming in but had no place to go so destroyed some of the plywood and mold present. Since I'm paying for repairs, how can I verify a good test was done? Should I repeat it? Who can I get bids from to fix it?How many bids?If they didn't submit mold for testing, how can I verify it's presence, just what was seen on camera, visual inspection? The pictures are barely decipherable.
