I would be honored to assist you with this extremmely important inquiry reagrding finding Good child care. ANGIE"S LIST recently came out ths summer with a monthly issue and title could not have been better " CHILD CARE IS NOT CHILD'S PLAY" . It was an excellent issue on the topic and if I may, I would like to help by adding further insight to this undaunating task you face.

First and foremost as a Mother, always, and I do means always, trust your gut! If any bells or whistles even a slight thought or fleeting feeling of distrust or "can not put my finger on it" feeling comes over you listen to this, and ACT upon immediately.

First you need to be aware of the many options of care that are out there for all parents today. You may have it harder then those before you however; you have so many more choices then the previous generation did. Today parents have choices that run the gammit from on line serch engines to online reviews & coments to even offering actaul services all on the internet. There is the other extreme also still in exsistence you neighborhood babysitter.

However; for a ten month old, I would highly recommend a true professional nanny or care giver, handling your child's precious developmental years. Many I know and work with have had the chance to utlize, and or have tried all of the options I mentioned above. The one I hear the most positive reviews and Mom satisfaction are those moms whom choose the persoanl nanny option. A true professional in their home with their child under the age of one year being cared for in the child's own home enviroment. Being exposed to the personal philophsy of the individual family and being able to develop at their own pace. many keep this choice well into the toddlers years. Why I have asked and the most favored answer I have heard is "I do not want my child exposed to any intstional anything now , or I do not want little Joey or Susie exposed to the peer pressure this soon, or exposed to all the bugs, lice, germs, virus, etc,.. that others will expose my child to unnescessarliy. Soical skills will be learned you can 't help but know that but when and how soon are up to the individual parent.

There are Horror stories in every market every sort of industry, the one though that has lasted the test of time is the one I will utlimalty recommend, and that is to go through your local brick and motoar Nanny service. They know what they are doing, they do ot make much money as it is never have they do what they do for the sake of the child. this is and always has been the truth since the days of British nannies i.e. Mary Poppins and Nanny McPhee. The States have many well run well established services the tough part are the best do not advertise they do not have to thus finding them will be you challenge should you chose this option. But whatever you do chose do not ever become too comfortable and assume all is right all the time. Be wise be careful and be viligant. Best of Luck to you my dear. Your child is already lucky for having a mom come here to ask the pros and seek as much wisdom as possible. You are a good mom!
