Question DetailsAsked on 11/1/2011

How do I go about reporting a very bad experience with kitchen installers?

I noticed North Shore Kitchens advertised in your catalog. They installed our brand new kitchen cabinets - bought through Direct Buy. In installing them they didn't fit quite right so they ripped out the drywall behind them.
As a result we have had a major problem with ants throughout our kitchen. We have had two treatments for ants so far and just wonder how many more we must have over the years.

Additionally in trimming out they botched a faux paint job we had previously done in our dining room by wrapping some trim around the wall very incorrectly. They came back to redo it but we had to pay our painters extra to repaint the wall.

We had several other small complaints like one of the drawers didn't work correctly and some of the trim was missing, but they wouldn;t come back. Therefore, we had to call on another carpenter to complete the job.

We had talked with Direct Buy and North Shore but could get no satisfaction.
