How do I reroute a kitchen vent pipe?

We want to install a window above our kitchen sink, & when we removed the sheetrock, we noticed the 1 1/2 foot; vent pipe was in the way. Does anyone out there know from experience, if it would still work correctly, if we put in some 90 degree bends to reroute the pipe, so it isn't in the way of where we want to install the window? We would reroute it with the 90 degree bends, connect it back into the roof pipe. Does anyone know if this sounds feasable, or know of a different way it can be done. Thanks

While you wait for plumbing expertise, I'll toss out a few thoughts:

I think you won't have a problem so long as the vent has free flow to the outsideI might have done a couple of 45's instead of a 90 degree bend. If you ever need to have the vent pipe cleaned out, the 90 or multiple 90s could create a ledge/bind to clean past (I know you wouldn't expect anything to need to be cleaned out of a vent...but)I think there are gizmos called ells that will give you the bend without it being quite so severe and serves the same concern as the last item

Good Luck!

Thanks for the advise. We will try & find ells instead...Home Depot, or Lowe's I'm sure would have such a thing. If not, we'll try a hardware store. My husband has some plumbing expertise, but not as much as a licensed plumber. "GOOD LUCK" is certainly what we'll need.
