How much would it cost to paint a room?

How much would it cost to paint a room? I'm planning to move it this spring, and my wife wants something special for the baby's room. Would it be much more expensive to order some painting to be done on the wall? Thanks.
P.S.: looked for the painter and designer on https://www.artinstitutes.edu/ and creative ideas and tips blogs and https://www.essaytoday.net home design business ideas.

Depends of course on room size, whether doing trim and door and ceiling too (which combined can add 50-100% to cost - more if stain or clear finish rather than paint on those), and of course number of colors and paint price and such. Also - if it needs significant prep (more than just a few hanger/pin holes), deep cleaning, or a primer before your desired finish coat goes on then typically 25-50% more.

I was going to say typically $300-800 for a normal 120-150SF room - but considering ghe sites you quoted sounds like you are looking for something "really special" so detailed multi-color designs or faux paint or such can commonly run $1000-2000, and more with very special or metallic paints (those are not good for a childs room, BTW), detailed ceiling prep and painting, etc.

Here is an Angies List article on the subject FYI:
