How much to install backslash 22" H x 8' L

remove existing tile and drywall. Reduce to size of electrical boxes from three to two. Replace drywall and install new tile 3" x 6"

Plus probably about $150 electrician for the electrical modification - note that if the box being eliminated is within the backsplash area, he cannot just splice the wires at the box and bury it under the tile - junction boxes have to be permanently accessible, so unless you want a permanent cover plate there he has to run new wires between the remaining boxes to eliminate one - unless the one being eliminated is the last one on the circuit, in which case he can just cut the wires and abandon the box behind the tiule without any drywall removal needed.
