Question DetailsAsked on 8/3/2011

How soon can you stain new treated lumber on a deck?

Does it need to weather for a few months, or can it be stained right away? I've read conflicting info on this.

You need to let the treated lumber dry out for 6 weeks. You might get buy with doing it after 4 in high heat, but you want it to get good and dry before applying the stain.
