I DO NOT have an account with Angie's List yet somehow you got a hold of my credit card info and charged me. Help!!

Never heard of you guys and I need to know how this happened without me ever creating an account or supplying my credit card information. I tried to email you but got several annoying automated replies asking me to supply my account info. I don't have any account info!! Please let me know how I can get in touch with support. This is very frustrating and shady.

Angies List just got bought out by a company which owns a number of home and dating websites, so perhaps they have merged some of them and the billing is actually for another website membership ?


Call Angies List member services at 1-888-888-5478


And if they do not credit it back within a few days, or recharge you, I would report it to your credit card company as a fraudulent charge - Angies List has had a LOT of complaints on their website about people being charged and being unable to turn off the auto charging when they cancel their membership.


The other possibility - there was some press on spoofing of Angies List and other websites, with somebody(s) using stolen credit card info to charge "memberships" using a company name which was spoofing legitimate companies - so this might be a credit card info theft issue.
