I need my piano moved downstairs

Split level house. Piano is in living room needs to be moved to basement.

I would not trust amateurs with this - especially if a - what are they called- "horizontal" piano - as opposed to an upright, because it needs to be tilted on edge to go up/down stairs, and commonly the legs have to come off too.


Fortunately for you, there is an Angies List cateogry for Piano Movers - you could also contact the store you bought it from,many of them also do moves. Be SURE your contractor is bonded and insured in case (forget I said this) it takes a hands-off ride down the stairs, because generally your homeowner's insurance or PAI policy does NOT cover damage by hired movers.
