Sounds like you are a painting contractor or handyman - in which case I would hazard that if you don't know how to estimate the materials, labor, consumables, and overhead costs you might well be going beyond your capabilities and experience.


And asking on a forum likethis what to charge, while it might give you an idea of typical costs for a certain type of job, can get you into trouble because if the number is too high for the particular job and locale you will likely not get the job because your bid will be too high. Worse, if it is too low for the situation and you use it, you can lose your shirt on the job.
