You can find a ton of similar previous questions with answers in the Lawn & Garden > Tree Service link under Browse Projects, at lower left - discussing ballpark costs, ways to get rid of wood for free, and liability issues.

Neighbors who use an outdoor firepit or their fireplace a lot (if decent species for indoor fireplace) typically are always looking for wood too.

Easiest way if it is cut to handleablesize - stack near the road (but not on sideqwalk or street because that will get you a ticket) with a FREE sign on it - unless pretty rotten or a "juck" tree species it will vanish in quick order - typically in a day or so. If a type you know is valued for firewood put the species on the sign too - like FREE - PINE or FREE - OAK.
