Question DetailsAsked on 1/3/2017

I have an unused fan connection on my patio light that i want to connect to an outdoor flood light

Existing patio light has fan wiring and switch available, but i want to connect an outdoor flood light to it instead. Can an electrician connect wiring to the existing fan wire and connect to the outdoor flood

Sure - might require removing a dimmer switch and swapping in a different type (on-off) but that is a minor thing. Tough part will be, if putting a different place than existing patio light location, running the wiring without having to do follow-up repair of siding or such. Generally, running ssurface conduit is the easiest way to handle this issue.
