Is there a "Nature Stone"-like product you can do yourself?

I was looking into Nature Stone for my basement, but couldn't reason spending $9-$13 per square foot. I was wondering if there was a cheaper route, perhaps a product I could apply myself similar to Nature Stone.

You can find a lot of producer info links, and Youtube videos on doing this - with everything from plain concrete (with or without a top leayer of decorative stone) all the way up to DIY kits from NatureStone themselves. Google this search phrase - nature stone like DIY products. Generally, the similar products run about half the cost of NatureStone, from what I have heard around the builder pipeline.


Plus of course (though not generally DIY for most people) there is polished concrete, stained concrete, epoxy and polyurethane and polyurea and polyaspartic compounds as well which generally (in about order listed in most cases) are significantly cheaper on up to the same cost range.
