Is it difficult to put in your own wood flooring?

No, not too difficult, did it to my uncles whole house with just him and me. I would watch a few youtube videos to get some tricks of the trade and get the basic idea, but seems to me that this is something you could do with the basic knowledge and some common sense.

Like anything else, it's not difficult once you educate yourself. I bought a book on the subject at Home Depot, rented a floor nailer, bought a bunch of oak flooring, and had it done in a week.

Yes please educate your self, if you get into this and doing several rooms at once you could get your self in a bad spot and have to start all over again or even have some one else finish it for you. Make sure you have all the right tools to do the job as well. Once you have looked at several videos on how to and some good books from the library and you know that your existing floor is sound and level, only then should you start. Be confindent in what you start before hand.
