Question DetailsAsked on 1/11/2017

Is there a lumber company that would remove trees from your yard for the wood?

I want to have two red wood trees, approx. 55 feet tall removed free for wood.

If you look in the Lawn and Garden > Tree Service link in Browse Projects, at lower left, you will find a significant number of previous similar questions from people trying to get rid of either standing or fallen trees for free - wanting to get them removed in exchange for the wood.

Pay attention not only to the ways to do this and categories of companies who sometimes take the wood (for free or otherwise), but also to the liability issues, because it is not at all uncommon for people doing this sort of activity to hurt themselves (or others or property if felling a tree), so bear those risks and liabilities in mind.
