Moisture Management? What you should know

Recent research has revealed that moisture poses serious threat to your property and for some health problems. Most of the people build their properties with a lot of wooden products to cut cost. As they seem to be saving them a substantial amount, they don't know how they are cheaper in the long run. Statistics reveal that people spend millions of dollars to repair their properties every year; most of them are due to mold formation in the roof. Cost cutting and using construction products of questionable quality often results in leaks. Whenever there is a rain, some portion of water intrudes the roof. This moisture gives rise to the formation of mold which is nothing but fungus. As fungus/mold can thrive anywhere there is moisture, the formation of mold happens for a long time, gradually weakening the structure and one fine day permanently damaging your house. Every year, thousands of people renovate their homes due to mold which was the result of poorly designed structure and lack of moisture management. Moisture also poses serious health implications to many people. It has been recognized that fungi causes many diseases in humans. These diseases include rhinitis, asthma, breathing disorders and many other life threatening conditions. As mold and fungi cause breathing disorders, those who live in houses affected by mold tend to have allergic problems, breathing trouble, asthma and more.
