Try a fireplace shop that sells gas fireplaces as they can probably service it for you. Also some chimney sweeps have untertaken the training and certifications necessary to service gas fireplaces. And finally you could check www.nficertified.org for a list of gas certified technicians in your area.

You might also try Angie's List HVAC professionals in your area. My HVAC service man also does gas fireplaces.

Plumbers are licensed to perform work on gas lines. At Texas Plumbing Diagnostics, in San Antonio, we offer a service of checking out a gas fireplace and its connections; we also instruct the homeowner on the operation of the fireplace.

If you have any questions regarding gas lines or gas connections, contact a licensed plumber, as some work on gas must also be permitted.
