OOPS I just contacted a contractor for an estimate thru the schedule feature .Am I now obligated to use them?

If what you selected was to schedule for an estimate, then that is what you asked for and you would be under no obligation to use them. If you accidentally scheduled the actual work to be done then contact the vendor (eMail better because you then have a written record of your change). Of course, confirm in the eMail that you are looking for a FREE estimate - some contractors seem to be making a bunch of their money these days on paid inspections and estimates only.
