Question DetailsAsked on 6/12/2011

Sherwin Williams Licorice Stain

I am interested in a very deep brown but not black. Have you seen SW Mink or Licorice and tell me if that is darker than oxford Brown by Olympic? We previously had Benjamin Moore Manor Brown on original formula and that was a very deep brown..almost black at that time. Looking at the chart I think Licorice or Mink looks very dark Brown. My other half thinks it is the same as oxford for one and the other to black.

The mink is more of a grayish family. I wold think that shagbark (Black toning) or spicewood (brown toning) Lodge Brown is a little bit lighter these would be more of the family your are looking for.
