Swimming Pool Cost

My husband and I want to have an in ground swimming pool installed. We have been given a quote for an 18x36 liner pool with the salt system. Can anyone tell me what the average cost of this pool should be based on experience? It would also incl.concrete decking with stamping and cant. edge coping, Polaris cleaning, no diving board/slide, etc. Should the water be included or not?

Dear Spouse,

This is in South Carolina:I have a 17x35 inground pool, for 4 years."kidney shape, average depth 4.5 ft. about 14,000 gal. Computeurized salt and Polaris cleaning system.

Filter pump is 1.5 HP, cleaner booster is 1 hp. pool facing full south.

Chemicals average for a year $ 500 to $600, includind replacement of cartridge filters, every 3 or 4 years. Power usage average per year; For 7.5 months around $400 total. I totally shut down the pool during the winter, Shock the pool and disconnect the equipment. Keep it totally covered with rain proof winter cover.

Meanwhile ,durind June,July and august I stretch "solar sail" other 80% of the pool. This to prevent the water to become too hot, also to stabilize chemicals and reduce some evaporation.

Typically, the water comes from your meter, a one time expense that should not exeed $ 80 to $100.
