Trane XB1000 Capacitor & Compressor

Had a technician come over last Friday ac unit was not blowing cold air. He look at the outside unit and said a wire was burnt off the capacitor causing the compressor not to start . He then cut the wire put a new end on it plugged it in and everything was working . Before he did that he did say that one of the prongs on the capacitor were loose but nothing to worry about . 3 days later unit did the same thing another tech came over and said compressor was no good after installing a new capacitor (turbo 200 ) and said I should get a second opion . The next day the owner and installation mgr from the same company came over did the same thing but added a turbo boost to the turbo 200 and compressor still would not start . Now they want to sell me a whole new unit. I truly believe there has to be more that still needs to be checked or the first technician screwed me by not putting on a new capacitor in the first place when he found the burnt wire and loose connection.
