Uneven central air

What's the best way to fix uneven central air conditioning coverage? In our house, the sensor is downstairs, so the bedrooms upstairs feel too warm at night (even if the downstairs is freezing).

Great question Brenda! That is frustrating. Here are some tips to make sure your air conditioner is at its most efficient: http://bit.ly/cNqMhp. Also, ceiling fans can help balance the temperature: http://bit.ly/9lCny8.

Get your AC and duct system properly "air balanced."

A specialist will take a couple of tools and measure the airflow and work out how to adjust the airflow of the ducts so that the house temperatures stay within 3 degress in any room.

Look for a contractor that is Building Performance Institute Certified for HVAC and Heat pump.

I would love to help you with this, do it all the time, however the drive from Las Vegase would be cost prohibitive. LOL.
