Question DetailsAsked on 11/9/2017

What do I do if contractor damaged my blinds and promised to pay for but hasn’t

Soft touch cleaning had been working for me for several months. Last visit was 9/19/17 when they did nearly $70 damage to my master bedroom blinds. The owner, Jorge promised to send a check for damage but continued to keep telling me he’s sending the check, but ignoring me! What do I do now?

Send him a written demand for the payment per his verbal agreement, addressed Attention Jorge - notifying him that you will be filing a claim with his bonding and/or insurance companies for reimbursement.

I would also confirm the damage amount - $70 sounds like around a minimum labor charge, not repair - I can't imagine any measureable repair being that cheap.

And of course you need to consider if you continue to use that company, and of course after all is said and done you have the opportunity to do an Angies List Review on his company.
