Question DetailsAsked on 4/21/2014

What is the cost of dryer vent cleaning when the exit end is high(single story home) and longer than 10 feet?

Most deals/specials only cover the first 10 feet. I know mine would be longer than that based upon the location of the laundry room and the exterior end of the vent is up high(not through the roof, but at the top of the exterior window on a single story home). I don't want to buy a deal and come to find out I am paying more than the regular price becuase of the surcharges. And I just need the dryer vent cleaned not the air ducts.

You can call the dryer vent cleaner in advance and ask the same question, we run specials and often get calls to clarify exactly what's included, which I would encourage anyone to do before buying.

For dryer vent cleaning, I would want to know that they are going to vacuum the vent from the dryer connection, not from where it exits the home. Often the connection behind the dryer is where the blockage is. Some vent cleaners just do it the easy way, from the exit point outside, which costs them less labor, and there is no risk of damaging the floor when pulling the dryer out, which they must take the time to guard against.
