Whats the average cost to build a metal home in georgia

Want to build an all metal frame home. Metal roof. Metal siding on a concrete slab.

If outside Altanta metro area, I would guess (and some pricing guides back this up) around $70-90/SF for an open floor plan "barn" home - bare bones interior. More conventional floorplan probably more like $90-120/SF. Course a LOT depends on your selected finishes. In Atlanta metro area, perhaps about 20-25% more. Not including the land or sewer/water/landscaping, etc of course.


You can also find (though not specific to metal homes) info by googling this search phrase - NAHB home costs Georgia - for the most recent home builders association pricing info - you all-metal home is likely to be close to those numbers, most likely maybe around 5% more expensive because metal rather than wood.


Be sure in your area to have your architect specify heavy-gauge roofing and siding so you don't have a major replacement bill from hail/wind damage, because your area is known for that problem.
