Who can I call to remove a tree for free in exchange for the wood

It is approx 80' tall cottonwood tree (dead) with a very straight trunk. No need to remove the stump.

You can find a LOT of prior similar questions with answers, including warnings about the risks and hazards to your and your property (and neighbors) of letting uninsured or non-professional people do this on your property in the Lawn & Garden > Tree Service link, under Browse Projects, at lower left.

Getting it for free is pretty unlikely - cottonwood makes a lousy retaining wall (rots very quickly), soak up water fast and rots in woodpiles, and is not a favored firewood log - burns too fast and does not have great heating value per pound.
