Normally done by a homeowner or handyman with tape measure, level or tripod mounted laser level, stud finder, nails or picture hanger clips. If you are at all home handy, for the cost of the contractor you could buy a stud finder and laser level (or rent that for about $10-15/day at tool rental place) and then have them for future use - just remember not to leave batteries in them if in storage.

Some art and framing stores (not "Galleries" but places that sell pictures, photos, frames, knick-knacks) do hanging too.

You should probably buy the hangers, and hanging wire and screws and washers if frames need wires attached, so contractor does not have to go to store on your dime to buy them. Of course, you have to decide up front which type of frame handers you want (bar, serrated bar, hole, or wire) and what type of wall hangers you want - nail, screw, angled clip, snap, etc., and of course cheaper if you get all the hangers on the pictures before contractor comes, if in the realm of your abilities.
