Question DetailsAsked on 6/3/2013

Who can I get to repair a craftsman riding lawn mower? I don't want to go through Sears.

I have a Sears Craftsman riding mower and it doesn't seem to be getting gas properly because it keeps wanting to go dead. It could be another problem but I think this is the problem. I would have to have a repairman come to my house. I do not want to use Sears for repair because I have not had good luck with them.

I am not sure if Angie's has a specific category, but you are looking for a Small Engine Repair service. Most larger ones have pickup service (at a charge - probably about $50) for large items like rider mowers - when you call be sure to have overall dimensions of mower at hand, because some use trailers, some load into a pickup.

I doubt if you will find one who will come and actually work at your location - just don't have tools and parts and manuals at hand away from the shop.

You can local shops - and ratings and reviews from customers who have used their services - on Angie's List under the keyword/category of "lawn mower & power tool repair."
