Except in direct contact with the oil, no - peppermint oil scent has been shown to be at least somewhat effectvie against rodents and cockroaches, though.

There are some people who say cinnamon oil and clove oil work in repelling termites if applied all around the perimeter of the house and in any unfinished crawlspaces or basements, but a multi-house filed test by - oh, who was it, Texas A&M or Georgia Tech or some such southern university, showed it was effective for only a few weeks after application - basically till it evaporated.

The problem with an oil is unless you permeate the structure with it, termites will get past it and take up residence in area where the scent is not strong - so to really attack the issue and provide effective prevention against subterranean termites you need soil injection and surficial soil/foundation treatment with long-life pesticides.

Flying phase termite invasions your best protection is excellent screening to keep them out of crawlspaces and attics and such - and against both types yearly inspection if in a termite infestation area to detect and fumigate them before they can cause structural damage.
