File a report with your local police (online or call the non-911 number for them, since this is not an imminent hazard thing), with as precise a physical description as possible. If you have home security camera with recording, save the recording from the appropriate time before it can be overwritten and provide that to the police too. If you live quite near to a business which might have security cameras outside let the police know the name of those places too so they can trap video, maybe.

If you happen to be in a gated community or condo or apartment building or such, let the management and any private security guard firm serving your community know about it also - for a heads-up at least, and they may also have access to community area video which can be given to the police too.

If this happens to be someone from a company listed on Angies List, of courose tonact them too at memberservices@angieslist.com

Also, before filing the report, I would contact neighbors and see if they had similar experience - multiple police reports will get more attention and also provide them with more info to track the indicidual down. Plus will put them on guard against this person.

If you see the individual again or he/she comes back do NOT let them know you are home if possible, do NOT talk to them in any way, and immediately call 911.

And of course, keep a head up for the next few days, and be sure you lock all windows and doors whether home or not, and alert any other family members in the house too.
