That size tree they will likely either use a crane to remove it in one piece, or for at least the top half or more cut and lower it down piece by piece by rope to avoid roof damage then maybe put ropes on it and pull the rest away from the house while cutting it off at the base.


I would expect about $300 range for the tree cutting only, probably another $150-300 for the removal - depending on whether you just want the branches and small stuff removed but leave the big stuff to you for firewood, or go whole hog and either remove the entire thing (chip and haul away) or chip and haul the small stuff and cut the rest to firewood size and stack it for you - those two options commonly cost about the same, roughly.


Grinding the stump (on same trip), assuming utility locate shows no interferences, can commonly run another $100-300 depending on stump size and wood hardness - assuming about a 12-18" stump diameter I would say probably about midrange or a bit lower for your case.
