can gas service for a fireplace be added to an existing home?

my home is on a concrete slab. I do not have gas service in my neighborhood. I would love to have a gas fireplace and a gas stove. Any chance?

Yes, there is a chance but installing gas lines in homes on slabs can be difficult. First, if there is no natural gas in your neighborhhod you will have to use LP gas and have a tank installed on your property. As far as running the gas lines if the appliances you want gas for are located on an exterior wall of the house then it is pretty easy. If there are not on an exterior wall than it is more difficult but usually not impossible. Find a qualified gas contractor to assess the installation and provide recommendations.
