cost to install a natural gas line for an outdoor grill?

Tapping off existing line behind furnace/hot water tank.appx 10 ft run thru exterior concrete block wall.

You may or may not be able to tap off the line by the furnace/water heater - adding a grill load to it may reduce pressure below safe levels, so it is possible the tap may have to come off at the meter, which might add length to the run.


Be sure to note the comments on fuel characteristics - many people think natural gas, propane, butane, etc all have the same cooking characteristics and energy value per cubic foot - not true, and some of the odorants and natural minor consituents in natural gas feeds can make food inedible - your natural gas company orlocal newspaper food writer should have info on that issue. Most common with local gas supplies that have not been "stripped" to remove the corrosive sulfur compounds before being put in cross-country pipelines.
