Question DetailsAsked on 3/23/2018

cost to replace kitchen line under slab? Per foot cost to replace cast iron?

(Denver, CO) we have a backed up kitchen line. our plumber thinks it needs a repair involved digging. someone came out to scope it and quoted us $3000 for 10 feet minimum, and then 300 per additional foot. He was referred by our plumber. Because he is also the one who would do the work, I am hesitant about him (seems like a conflict of interest).
The plumber had snaked the line at least 30 feet. The scope/repair contractor could only get his scope in 15 feet and so suggests we dig at that point first. Is this typical, or are they using a trick to get me to dig more at 300 per foot?

Is this price fair?
