do you limit how much i can research?

I signed in and was researching doctors when I was dropped from the website and it will not let me back in. Calling, they told me I had reached my limit for the day and was not allowed to return for 24 hours. Is this truly how you operate?

I sure never saw anything about that in the disclosures or agreement - and I know AL member services has responded at least once that there is no limit to the amount a member can use the service, so sounds like a back-door limitation to me.


It would be interesting if you were to post their response to you about this here for other users to see.


I suspect they will lfall back on this article from the membership agreement which basically is a carte blanche which likely would not survive a court challenge because it allows them to unilaterally change the terms of servicer for a paid service -

You agree that Angie's List may establish general practices, policies and limits, which may or may not be published, concerning the use of the Service, including without limitation, the time that reviews and ratings will be retained, the maximum number of reviews and ratings that may be sent from an account, the length of reviews and ratings sent, and the maximum number of times and the maximum duration for which You may access the Service in a given period of time. You agree that Angie's List has no responsibility or liability for the deletion or failure to store any reviews, ratings and other communications maintained or transmitted by or through the Service. You agree that Angie's List has the right to change these general practices and limits at any time, in its sole discretion, with or without notice.
