You can find a fair number of ballpark numbers about replacing a modern TV screen unit in the Home > TV Repair link in Browse Projects, at lower left - though in your case with half black screen could also be a connector making bad contact possibly.


Be sure to check the new cost on similar TV for comparison so you don't spent too much on a repair when you can get a new TV with new warranty for maybe as much or less. From Amazon and Walmart looks like $300-400 range for normal new LED RCA 50" class TV.
